Great location. Really close to love lane, Armenian street , bay shetty, little India. A part from that, they should reorganize their living room. Entrance look ok but once you enter, it looks chaotic. Staff was not really welcoming. Service was soso. Bathroom needs better cleaning. The place is ideal for solo travelers who want to explore George Town in 1 day and don't care about the environment and just want to have a tier 4 place to sleep. They didnt not provide lockers to place our important belongings. I didn't feel safe leaving them there and go in town. So yeah, wouldn't recommend.

This delightful hostel is very idyllic. It is set in a traditional shophouse typical of Southern China, Malaysia and Singapore and so has an old world charm that is hard to find elsewhere. The two gentlemen that run the place are very helpful and always ensure that everything is OK. A myriad of bars and cafes are within walking distance as well as open air covered food courts that will serve every kind of Malay, Indian and Chinese dish you could imagine. If you are a solo traveller and don't have many requirements, definitely consider staying at this hostel.

there's a sweaty smell in the room that doesn't go away. the shower location isn't great, considering the dorms are mixed-gender, the shower area needs a little more privacy as its connected to all the rooms
